Community Liaison Officer – East Lothian
Join us in making a real difference. We’re seeking a Community Liaison Officer to help deliver our social value goals in East Lothian. This role is a unique chance to engage with local communities and contribute to a high-profile national project.
Main Duties
- Explore and understand the priorities of local communities, then plan and implement meaningful social value initiatives.
- Represent the client at educational and community events, including volunteering opportunities.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with local partners—schools, charities, community groups, and employment services.
- Coordinate with internal teams and supply chain partners to support and enhance social value efforts.
- Track progress by collecting and analysing data, ensuring we stay aligned with our social value commitments.
- Share success stories through case studies and assist in creating content for both internal and external audiences.
- Step in for the Community Liaison Manager when needed—this may include preparing reports, attending meetings, managing communications, and addressing community concerns related to construction.
What You’ll Bring

- Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Solid IT skills and attention to detail to handle administrative tasks effectively.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
Essential Criteria
- You must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided).
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle for local travel.
- Minimum qualifications: National 5 in English and Maths at Grade C or above, or Functional Skills Level 2 in both subjects.
