Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled BIM Coordinator with a strong civil engineering background to join our site-based team in Newcastle/Murton. This role is ideal for someone passionate about digital construction and eager to be a digital champion on-site, driving the coordination and development of our construction BIM model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the coordination and management of the construction BIM model, ensuring alignment with project requirements and design intent.
- Collaborate with the BIM Manager to update and maintain accurate asset data within the model.
- Coordinate temporary works designs and contractor-designed elements, integrating them into the overarching BIM environment.
- Work closely with project planners to develop and maintain a 4D BIM model, supporting constructability reviews and sequencing assessments.
- Act as the on-site digital lead, promoting best practices in digital construction and supporting the project team in BIM-related workflows.
- Assist in quality assurance of model data and contribute to continuous improvement of digital delivery processes.
- Proficiency in Revit (essential)
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (desirable)
- Background in civil engineering or project planning
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works, and contractor coordination
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- A proactive mindset with a passion for digital innovation in construction
- Experience working on infrastructure or civil engineering projects
- Familiarity with 4D planning tools and construction simulation
- Ability to interpret and manage complex model data and ensure compliance with project standards
- Relevant Degree or certifications
- Relevant experience
