Compliance Support Technician
We currently seek a high caliber Compliance Support Technician for a short-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in San Diego, CA (Sorrento Valley).

Provides support for Facilities, MCFT, Sustainability and EH&S focusing on inspections, compliance, documentation, and equipment readiness across multiple Qualcomm facilities within the City of San Diego.

Job Requirements
Complete visual inspections of equipment which include diesel generators, fuel tanks, electrical transformers/ equipment /rooms, and HVAC equipment.
• Complete inspections of safety related signage and documentation posted at building sites and Chiller Plants. Ensure information is visible and current.
• Complete and upload required logs and reports to Qualcomm “Teams” sites.
• Create a calendar for the collection of data and reports that aligns with required reporting deadlines.
• Perform monthly safety equipment inspections to verify readiness and compliance, including but not limited to eye wash, safety showers, fire extinguishers and spill kits.
• Perform other related inspections (Stormwater, SPCC, etc.) ensure environmental protection measures are functioning properly.
• Maintain the inventory for PPE safety equipment and manages the rotation and testing schedules.
• Review and ensure all Qualcomm owned forklifts and manlifts are properly maintained and inspected per OSHA requirements.
• Support the coordination and disposal of hazardous materials and waste at Chiller Plants and other Qualcomm buildings in San Diego. (DOT HazMat endorsement not required).
• Inspection and cleaning of storm and roof drains.
• Inspect fire hydrants and test functionality of main PIV valves.
• Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting to support MCFT and EHS program requirements.


Qualifications:
Physical Demands:
• Work is performed while standing, sitting or walking
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights up to 50 pounds.
• Requires activities involving and being around moving machinery and working in
critical environments, such as Chiller Plants, Networking Rooms and Data
Centers.
High school diploma required. Must have basic knowledge of computer programs
including email, documents and spreadsheets. Valid and current CA driver’s license
required.
