Construction Coordinator – Piping / Mechanical / Structural

Here is a dynamic opportunity to be a part of a large scale EPCM project in pleasant Kitimat, British Columbia as a Construction Coordinator – Piping/ Mechanical/ Structural. You would be working alongside talent and ambitious professionals of a leading EPCM/ construction firm to achieve a similar goal. In this fulfilling role, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the development of safety culture on the project, ensuring prioritization of safety, cost schedule and cost requirements. This individual will also coordinate the interface between construction and other project disciplines such as Design Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management, Procurement and Contracts.

Job Duties:
- Provide an understanding of Fluor’s specifications and provide technical interpretation of design documents in support of Construction Managers, Superintendents, and contractors.
- Provide review of all contractors Quality Manuals and ITP’s to ensure that they meet with applicable codes.
- Responsible for coming to agreement with the contractor on any Field changes required during the Construction and to evaluate all other change requests and interface with the Module Management Team Members.
- Accountable for assuring that the Contractors Construction Supervision and the QA personnel interpret drawings and specifications correctly and that the work is being performed and inspected in accordance to approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's).
- Participates in the review of Contractor progress reports to ensure accurate reporting and measurement of progress, and to report any potential impacts with regards to the Project Schedule.

Qualifications:
- Typically has 8-10 years of experience with progressive and varied experience in construction, technical, and engineering activities.
- Structural / Mechanical / Piping engineering or technologist degree/diploma.
- Alberta Red Seal or Equivalent Trade Certification in any discipline
- Must have direct and demonstrable working experience on large industrial projects.
- Candidate must have above average computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
