Construction Engineer V - Structures

Our client is looking for a General Construction Superintendent for a multi-billion-dollar infrastructure project in the Dallas area!

DUTIES:

• Assist craftsmen, foremen, and project supervision with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings
• Provide technical interpretation of design documents in support of construction managers, superintendents, and contractors and provides specific expertise for problem solving activities
• Coordinate the completion of construction activities in assigned systems and prepares punch lists to ensure the readiness of systems for release for turnover to the client or for start up
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have strong working knowledge of precast, cast-in-place, and steel girder bridge construction.
• Must have experience in the construction of cast-in-place, MSE, wire, and soil nail walls.
• Experience developing crane pick plans, overseeing the engineering of typical formwork, shoring, and temporary structure designs.
• General knowledge of various concrete mix designs, concrete placement techniques, and mass placement monitoring.
• TxDOT experience preferred
• Construction Management degree or global equivalent
• Ability to speak/read multiple languages
• Basic or intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the basic or intermediate use of spreadsheets
