Construction Supervisor

TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for Construction Supervisor to work for one of the leading resource companies in Canada on a 2-year contract. This is a Contract, 14x7 rotational role at a project site in British Columbia.

Employment Type: Independent Contractor
Salary Range: $95 - $110/hr
Work Schedule: 14 x 7 rotation on site
Contract Duration: Approx. 2 years

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor construction activities in accordance with construction plan and provide timely reporting of cost, project schedule and progress
• Champion safety leadership and adhere to environmental rules and procedures
• Utilize technology to enhance safety in design and sustainability practices
• Ensure field construction site is established and site mobilization plan is generated
• Develop contractor scope of work aligned with project requirements
• Participate in constructability reviews, risk assessments, and construction design
• Oversee and direct the activities of CM service provider to manage any deviations from construction plans
• Monitor and implement appropriate actions to maintain maximized productivity and cost effectiveness
• Evaluate cost and schedule optimization strategies
• Explore innovative and effective ways to reduce labor on site.

 
Key requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• At least 10 years of construction management experience in mining, oil and gas, or other related resource industries
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Value the importance of managing and coordinating the project and operational teams in a collaborative approach.
• A solution-focused attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
