Our client, a leading mining operator is developing a major multibillion dollar Greenfield project for the next three years. They are looking for a Senior Contracts Specialist to look after Engineering and Shop Detailing.

The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to support the contracting process for a major mining construction project, in particular with respect to tendering of contract works and services and post award contract administration during execution and close‐out.
Responsibilities
• Manage and administer all of the contractual and commercial requirements for the Shop Detailing
• Pre award commercial negotiation experience and post-award administration of shop detailing services agreement Manage sourcing activities in accordance with established Project Controls
• other minor consultancies, labour hire, secondment agreements
• Negotiate contract terms and conditions including price

About you

The successful candidate will have:
• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying, law or suitable equivalent experience managing contracts on major capital project is required.
• Minimum 10 – 15 years working on major capital projects
• An ability to analyse and resolve complex Contract issues.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A proven ability to successfully manage change
• Excellent commercial and business acumen
• A proven track record in Contract Management
• Demonstrated contract management and administration experience
