Contracts Technician

TRS Staffing Solutions has long-term opportunities for Contracts Technician/Administrator to work for one of the leading mining companies in Canada. This position is based in Vancouver, BC. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a strong desire to grow into a career in project development.

Job Requirements

• Assist senior contracts specialists in carrying out various transactional tasks across entire contract’s lifecycle
• Ensure smooth functioning of the repetitive aspects of the contracts effort – e.g., prepare RFP documentation, set up contract in digital system, issue and track formal correspondence, schedule and minute contracts meetings
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Accredited degree or global equivalent in Business, Construction Management, or Law or equivalent experience required
• 3‐5 years’ work experience in any field – preferably in contract management, subcontract administration, and/or procurement experience supporting engineering and construction projects
• Strong understanding of contracting principles and legal terms and conditions
• Broad understanding of the construction industry and contract language associated engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction/construction management (EPFC/CM)
• Strong communicational skills and organizational skills
• Highly motivated and possesses a strong desire to grow into a career in project development
• Ability to manage high volume tasks
