Draughtsman / 3D Modeler Inventor

Our client in the Randstad area, is looking to recruit a Draughtsman / 3D Modeler Inventor (secondment to staff).

The job:
As Draughtsman/3D Modeler, you are primarily focused on producing 2D general layout drawings and 3D parametric model deliverables for electrical equipment and modular structures. The projects have a specific emphasis on power distribution systems relevant to industrial applications, particularly within the data center sector. The team is dedicated to create customized Modular structures for the electrical equipment. The modular structures are designed and manufactured in many different locations with different suppliers, the team is responsible for the design inputs and decisions to ensure the end client receives a product that meets their requirements.

Responsibilities:
As draughtsman/3D modeler you are responsible for the 2D drawings and 3D models based on the project design configurations of modular structures created by the system and modular structures engineers (Mechanical & electrical). The accuracy, reliability and detailing of the deliverables during the various phases of projects are of essential importance for communication with clients and contractors.

Additionally, you will support multiple modular structures engineers with their daily activities in the 2D and 3D aspects, managing the models and preparing the general layout drawings. The modular structures engineer integrates project input information and ensures an accurate, user friendly and optimally performing 3D model, which is stored on local cloud environments. During key phases of the projects, the draughtsman/3D modeler supports the modular structures engineer with 2D & 3D modeling tasks and the creation of documentation deliverables.

Main tasks:
- 2D drawing – General arrangement drawings of custom electrical equipment and modular structures.
- 3D modeling of main electrical equipment and modular structures.
- Facilitating 2D & 3D models in multiple projects with different modular structure engineers (mechanical & electrical).
- Supporting modular structures system engineers with project specific technical and documentation related activities.
- Supporting the sales department with 2D & 3D visualizations.
- Developing, expanding and maintaining the library of content used during the projects.
- Improving work methods related to 2D drawing & 3D modeling activities.

Requested:
- Completed a technical MBO+ education or equivalent Mechanical-structural with a 3-5 years of experience.
- Provable skills and knowledge in any 2D & 3D modeling and real-time rendering software.
- Preferably experienced with Autodesk Inventor professional (2020 onwards).
- Optional experience in Eplan and AutoCAD.
- Attention to detail, well organized, drive for improvement and self-critical.
- Capable of working both independently and in a team.
- Flexible work attitude, practical, and results-oriented.
- Communicative and engaged.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of the Dutch language is a must bot written and spoken.
- Residing in the Randstad area.
