We are seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead and oversee environmental, health, and safety aspects of a pharmaceutical extension project in Denmark. The EHS Specialist will ensure regulatory compliance, promote a strong safety culture, and implement best practices to protect workers and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor EHS strategies in alignment with local regulations and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and environmental impact assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with Danish and EU health & safety laws, including ATEX, COSHH, and GMP regulations.
  • Provide training and guidance on EHS protocols for project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Investigate incidents, root causes, and corrective actions to minimize workplace hazards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and operational teams to integrate safety measures into design and execution phases.
  • Report EHS performance metrics and recommend improvements to senior management.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure all permits and environmental reporting requirements are met.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, including waste management and energy efficiency efforts.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in EHS management within the pharmaceutical or construction sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Danish and EU EHS regulations.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience with GMP compliance and pharmaceutical safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
