The South Flank Project is being executed by a fully Integrated Project Team (IPT), jointly established by BHP and Fluor, consisting of employees from both organisations as well as other contracting organisations as applicable. The project has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to be based in the Perth office for 6 months.
Job Details:
Reporting to the Area Project Manager the Lead Electrical Project Engineer will support all activities of the Area Electrical Manager. Primary responsibility will be the development and ongoing management of the Electrical Equipment Procurement Contracts.
This South Flank project role will be based in Perth. Duties and responsibilities generally include the following,
• Ongoing commitment to Safety Culture including Field Leadership.
• Project manage the Electrical Equipment Procurement Contracts and manage all commercial and delivery scope.
• Lead the project delivery methodologies, strategies, systems and execution plans for the Electrical System implementation.
• Facilitate and participate in review and approval of all Electrical engineering documentation.
• Liaison with project stakeholders.
• Liaison with site construction management.
• Continuous consultation, review, status reporting, risk identification and management including participation in HSEC Risk assessments for the project.
• Management and assistance with equipment factory acceptance testing (FAT).
• Assistance with shutdown planning and co-ordination with site.
• Provide support and guidance to the electrical project and package engineers for contract packages.
• Assistance with the implementation of digital strategies.
Position required competencies and skills:
• Demonstrated experience in the delivery of mega projects.
• Extensive experience as Electrical Project Engineer.
• Able to work across multiple electrical and vertical package teams and manage all interfaces within team and contractor
organization.
• Demonstrable team player.
• Commercial awareness.
• Solid communications skills.
• Sound technical background.
