Responsibilities Include:
• Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and otherwise manage the efforts of the people and processes involved in development and implementation of plant environmental compliance programs and systems in support of company standards and applicable regulations
• Manage the composition/production of reports and perform audits on environmental programs to assure compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations including but not limited to air permitting, hazardous and non-hazardous wastes collection and disposal, storm water pollution and prevention plan (SWPPP) and spill control and countermeasure plan (SPCC) management.
• Ensure that daily inspections are completed to identify, evaluate, prevent, and control contamination of the environment; in addition to testing environmental conditions and report findings, including corrective action reports.
• Oversee and control and manage non-hazardous waste and hazardous waste operations, collection of samples, and regulatory compliance. Follow strict procedures in collecting and reporting data in order to meet requirements of environmental law(s).
Requirements Include:
• Bachelors Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, adequate experience in operating a wastewater treatment facility
• Flexibility to work during off hours to assist with emergencies and/or maintenance
• Experience in tracking, analyzing, and reporting quality data
• Experience in SPCC and SWPPP, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing is beneficial
