Key Responsibilities
• Provide support to the Senior Project Manager during tendering phase of all projects.
• Assemble estimates and new project set-up documents including bids, construction management, design builds, cost estimates and control budgets.
• Coordinate tender process and maintain a good relationship with clients, subcontractors, consultants, vendors, end users and suppliers.
• Create and issue quotes/proposal submission documents.
• Review bid requirements for projects; Analyze drawings and specifications.
• Assist in creating preliminary budgets for all successful tender projects and change order pricing.
• Assist with the overall management of mechanical contracting projects from pre-construction phase until completion.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers. Follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Key Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience as estimator for large-scope construction or infrastructure projects
• Must have experience and good working knowledge in tunnel project estimation
• A Post-secondary degree in related fields, or a Journeyman Trade Certification in combination with experience in a related field is an asset.
• Experience and expertise in negotiations
• A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, MS Project and Adobe.
• Proficient with HCSS Estimating Software is preferred.
