Job Title: Materials Coordinator
Location: Eneabba, WA
Roster: 2:1 | 12.5-hour days | DIDO
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to join our site team at Eneabba. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receival, storage, and distribution of materials, ensuring accuracy in inventory records and alignment with construction schedules. This role plays a key part in supporting project delivery by maintaining efficient materials handling and compliance with site safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the candidate will:
- Adhere to all site health and safety requirements.
- Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and inspect incoming goods for quality and quantity.
- Receive materials and unload trucks in accordance with site operational procedures, including the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other materials handling equipment.
- Manage on-site storage facilities such as warehouses and laydown areas, ensuring they are clean, well-organized, and compliant with the site materials management plan.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records and ensure items are stored in designated locations.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Implement and maintain inventory policies and procedures.
- Coordinate work processes for material/equipment deficiencies, overages, shortages, and damages.
- Issue materials and equipment in accordance with the project construction schedule, ensuring correct sequencing of usage.
- Monitor the status of all materials, including estimated time of arrival, shortages against purchase orders, and issues against the Engineering Bill of Materials.
Candidate Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in materials coordination or warehouse/inventory management within a construction or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (valid licenses preferred).
- Strong understanding of inventory systems and materials management procedures.
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with site teams and stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of construction schedules and materials sequencing.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with site operational standards.
