Here is an exciting opportunity to join our EPCM client in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta as a Field Material Manager!
In this role, you will report directly to the Construction Manager and be responsible for coordinating and managing the field material management aspects of the on-site materials management requirements.
Job Duties
- Maintains and promotes safety policies and procedures
- Coordinates transportation requirements with the Logistics group
- Accountable for job site material functions including receiving, storage and issuing of materials
- Develop a well defined and integrated Site Material Management Plan in support of construction
- Establish and manage field materials manpower requirements
- Develop a Master Storage Plan ensuring facilities are planned according to material volumes and requirements; take into account the Owner’s/supplier’s/manufacturer’s recommendations to ensure warranty requirements
- Manage the labour associated with the Material Handlings scope of work in the field
Qualifications:
- Field assignment experience preferred
- 8-10 years of related material management experience
- Computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
