Location: Lebanon, PA
Salary: $70,000-$85,000
Position Summary
The Foundry Manager is responsible for leading all foundry operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality cast products. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role oversees production planning, materials procurement, employee development, process improvement initiatives, plant maintenance, and operational performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of foundry operations and demonstrate a proven ability to improve productivity, reduce scrap, control costs, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of foundry manufacturing experience.
- Strong knowledge of foundry operations, process improvement, quality systems, and safety regulations.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all foundry operations to meet production, quality, safety, and cost objectives.
- Develop production schedules, labor plans, and departmental workflows.
- Reduce scrap, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
- Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate employees and supervisors.
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, HR, and Production teams to achieve operational goals.
- Oversee melt department operations and provide support across molding and heat treatment areas.
- Prepare production, cost, and performance reports for management.
- Conduct risk assessments and maintain safe work procedures.
