Qualification Requirement:
• Grade 12 (Required);
• B Hons Degree in Geology (Required).

Experience and other requirements:
• Five (5) years Geology Experience within an Opencast Iron Ore Mining Environment (Required);
• Valid Code B Driving License (Required).

Required competencies:
• Professional Status: GSSA and SACNASP;
• Behavioural Competencies: Business Acumen, People Leadership Skills, Relationship Building Skills, Results Driven and Change Leadership Skills;
• System Skills: Microsoft Office, Geological Software and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS);
• Technical Competencies: Mining Competency A.

Responsibilities:
• Support and participate in sub-functional change management to drive transformation and optimization;
• Data integrity control;
• Identify improvement initiatives and team recognition;
• Implement compliance requirements;
• Plan, direct and assess quality management;
• Execute SHERQ programs;
• Provide input into functional planning;
• Implementation of operational plans;
• Sub-functional resource utilization;
• Sub-functional resource optimization;
• Exploration geology;
• Mine Geology;
• Drill planning and management;
• Comply with IMS standards;
• Contribute to functional budget planning;
• Implement and manage approved budget;
• Relationship maintenance;
• Personal development and closing of training gaps;
• Manage people development processes;
• Operational performance management;
• Sub-functional performance management;
