Our client specializes in delivering comprehensive solutions across various domains. This is a full time permanent role.
 

Role Summary:

As a GIS Specialist, you will:

• Develop and implement GIS products ranging from basic to complex.
• Design, manage, and distribute geospatial information, ensuring seamless integration with third-party applications.
• Oversee quality control and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Stay ahead of the curve by adopting new technologies and methodologies to expand our GIS business frontier.
• Lead and cultivate a technically proficient team, setting us apart in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• GIS Data Development & Analysis:

  • Evaluate data sources and support GIS data development with innovative design and quality control strategies.
  • Perform comprehensive GIS analyses, including geospatial statistics, 3D/spatial, and temporal analyses.

• GIS Analysis & Consulting:

  • Spearhead GIS needs assessments and consulting activities, translating client discussions into actionable system designs.

• Application Development & Configuration:

  • Facilitate application development from requirements analysis to deployment, focusing on web, mobile, and dashboard platforms.

• Database Design & Implementation:

  • Conceptualize and implement sophisticated database designs, integrating spatial data and third-party applications.

• System Architecture Design:

  • Develop strategic GIS-based system architecture plans, recommending optimal configurations for hardware and software.

• Technical Guidance & Proposal Development:

  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and contribute to proposal development with innovative solutions and graphics.

• Technical Knowledge Management:

  • Enhance our technical repository by authoring white papers and documentation for cutting-edge designs and studies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s and master’s degree in Geoinformatics, Geography, Environment, Geology, Computer Science, or related fields.
• At least 15 years of experience in GIS technology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SQL Server, Esri ArcGIS suite, GPS technology, and programming languages like JavaScript, C#, HTML, and Python.
• GISP certification is a plus.
