Group HSEQ Director

TRS Middle East is working with a leading PMC in Saudi Arabia and are looking for a Group HSEQ Director to join their team in Riyadh.

The Group Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Director (GHSEQD) is directly responsible for defining and managing the HSEQ Strategy and risk associated with operations, design and construction projects. The GHSEQ Director will proactively plan, direct and implement the Company’s safety, environment and quality objectives and programs to work toward right first time and Zero Harm environment. The GHSEQD supports the HSEQ Project Staff in ensuring each project is conducting operations in a safe manner for the protection of our employees, clients, subcontractors and the general public by establishing assurance activities as part of the annual Audit schedule . The GHSEQD ensures compliance with all applicable national and local safety related regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Business Leadership Team (BLT) and DS and CMS Project Directors, Project Managers their teams and Stakeholders.
2. Provide the necessary support and direction to the D&CMS division team and stakeholders.
3. Work with BLT team to recommend HSEQ initiatives, goals, and objectives and once approved, to implement them within risk profile acceptable to company.
4. Directs the performance of company to develop and improve, where required, existing HSEQ policies and procedures.
5. Develops and implements HSEQ strategic initiatives and the associated key performance indicators (KPIs) for optimizing performance of company with the goal of meeting or exceeding the established KPI performance benchmarks.
6. Establishes and implements HSEQ goals, objectives, standards, procedures, systems and guidelines.
7. Coaches, mentors, and challenges staff. Champions continuous HSEQ improvement, including devising new strategies and new opportunities.

Key Essentials:

- Minimum of 25 years of direct safety and quality management experience, with 7 to 10 years in a relevant senior role.
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline from a reputable University
- Civil Engineering Sector Experience as a client and or Consultant
- A hands-on executive who is visible and engaged leader.
- High levels of personal credibility and gravitas.
- Strong leadership ability with a dynamic mind-set.
- Ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ability to influence decision making across all levels.
- Ability to demonstrate strong commercial acumen combined with an analytical, creative and pro-active mind-set.
- Strategic Thinker – ability to plan ahead
