We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as Head of Subcontracts and Services. This pivotal role will be based in Abu Dhabi and is responsible for overseeing all subcontracting and service-related activities within large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement subcontracting strategies aligned with project and corporate objectives.
- Oversee the entire subcontract lifecycle: tendering, negotiation, award, administration, and close-out.
- Manage relationships with subcontractors and service providers for offshore and onshore projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of services and adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Lead commercial offer submissions and contract negotiations.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate marine operations and logistics for offshore projects, including sale and purchase of vessels.
- Monitor subcontract costs, budgets, and financial performance.
- Lead and mentor the subcontract administration team.
- Ensure continuous improvement in processes and staff development.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- B Sc. in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent Additional qualifications desirable in multi-disciplinary engineering areas.
- Certification: RICS (Royal institute of Chartered Surveyors) full membership, CIPS (Chartered Institute for Purchasing and Supply) or equivalent certifications would be an advantage.
- 15 to 20 years of experience with Dredging, Civil Marine Engineering industry.
- Experience with FIDIC contracts and BIMCO (Chartering).
