Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals all working towards one goal. This opportunity boasts longevity, a great work-life balance rotation of 14/7, and excellent accommodations.
In this very exciting role, the qualified individual will directly report to the Mechanic Foreman. Assist Foreman with the completion of work orders and inspections on a timely manner. Assist with the shipping and receiving of all equipment
Job duties:
- Perform equipment repairs and monthly preventative maintenance per OEM specs that are assigned by the Mechanic Foreman.
- Assist the Mechanic Foreman with all inspections and safety checks on equipment as needed.
- Assist the Mechanic Foreman with the completion of work orders for all repairs and service work performed.
- Assist with the shipping and receiving of all equipment.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Mechanic Foreman.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of construction equipment repair.
- Must have experience with heavy construction equipment to include but not limited to the following: crawler cranes, hydraulic cranes, loaders, dozers, backhoes, tele-handlers, aerial work platforms and down.
- Physically able to squat, stoop, bend, climb, lie on back, lift and pull, reach up and out. Lift 70 lbs., carry 50 lbs.
- Ability to interpret service manuals & schematics.
