Our esteemed client’s objective is to empower mining and industrial operators in the DRC while fostering growth. We are seeking 3 x experienced HME maintenance trainers to upskill and develop maintenance planners. This is a hands-on training and coaching role focused on improving planning quality, maintenance strategies, and system utilization within a heavy mining environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong mobile equipment maintenance expertise combined with proven planning experience and systems knowledge. The role is located in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured training to maintenance planners on HME maintenance best practices.
- Coach planners on effective planning and scheduling methodologies.
- Support development of maintenance strategies and planning standards.
- Train teams on proper use of AMT and SAP within the planning workflow.
- Review existing planning processes and recommend improvements.
- Work closely with maintenance, reliability, and operations teams.
- Provide progress reports on training effectiveness and competency development.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance planning within mining or heavy industry.
- Strong background in Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) maintenance.
- Proven experience training or mentoring planners (highly advantageous).
- Experience in open-pit mining environments is preferred.
- Working knowledge of AMT and SAP PM (essential).
- Strong understanding of maintenance strategies (RCM, RCA, FMEA advantageous).
- Solid understanding of condition monitoring and reliability principles.
- English is required.
