For our client Fluor Engineering NV we are in search of a HSE Manager for our office in Antwerp. In this function you are responsible for the correct implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations in all phases of Fluor's projects.
Your daily work activities consist of:
- Preparation of the HSE philosophy
- Conceptual design of HSE systems and integration of HSE rules in the general technical design
- Coordination and preparation of HSE related documents for permits and licenses
- Facilitating of HSE review sessions
- Execution of HSE studies
- Monitoring and verifying the implementation of study related technical design
- Compile the General Safety Managementplan
- If in need of, drafting the additional Emergency Plan
- Preparation of toolboxes and attend those
- Advising the project director and other MT members concerning the labor environment
- Educate your co-workers towards designing the work plans
- Organizing, planning and reporting work space inspections
- Elaborate Safety vision and Strategy goals
- Taking care of internal and external relationship management
- Perform internal audits
- Frequently give safety instructions to personnel. Guidance in behavioral adjustments concerning HSE
- Safety onboarding new employees or temporary workers
- Keep HSE reports up to date
We are in need of someone with the following skills:
- Bachelor's or master's degree
- VCA VOL certification
- 10 years of experience in complex and large projects
- 3 years experience as a safety instructor
- Knowledge of Belgian and Dutch HSE law
- Knowledge of Dutch, English and preferably French
- Available to travel to different project locations in Belgium & the Netherlands
