HSE Manager

Our client, a region leading ICI & Civil/Infrastructure company with projects worldwide, is seeking a talented & passionate HSE Manager to join their team in Prince George, BC. The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of Civil and Buildings background within a senior HSE leadership role.

Responsibilities:
- Be overall Safety expert within the company and oversee implementing new processes where needed and maintaining client’s high standard of safety by setting & maintaining safety culture;
- Oversee 5-8 Safety Coordinators;
- Travel site to site (mostly in Western Canada but some overseas as well) to conduct safety investigations, meetings with stakeholders, and ensure safety obligations are being met;
- Give safety-related presentations to clients and company executives;
- Hold meetings with subcontractors and labour;

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Safety experience within a leadership role is ideal;
- Relevant education and Canadian safety designations;
- Strong experience within ICI and/or Civil/Infrastructure;
- Must have a strong understanding of Canadian federal/provincial legislation as it relates to safety;
- Willing to travel 30-50% of the time and when needed;
- Must be a strong communicator with the ability to effectively communicate from the boardroom to the job site;
