Our client in the Farnborough area is looking for a HSE Manager on an initial 1-year contract. This role will be based outside of IR35. The HSE Manager will lead the Health, Safety & Environment function for a PMC project, ensuring compliance with international standards, client requirements, and corporate policies. This role is pivotal in embedding a strong safety culture across all project phases.
 Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the HSE strategy for the PMC project.
  • Ensure compliance with UK legislation, international standards, and client-specific requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders on HSE matters.
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, client representatives, and PMC leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety performance and environmental management.
  • Prepare and deliver HSE training and awareness programs.
  • Monitor and report on HSE KPIs to senior management.
Experience:
  • Minimum 10–15 years’ HSE experience in large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environments.
  • Background in mining, oil & gas, or major infrastructure projects preferred.
Qualifications:
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent international HSE qualification.
  • Chartered IOSH membership (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS standards.
Skills:
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Cultural awareness and adaptability for international project contexts.
