Interim Director HSSE & Asset Risk
As Director HSSE & Asset Risk you will hold global accountability for ensuring safe and healthy working conditions and procedures for all colleagues and business partners.
You are leading a team of ‘Health, Safety, Security & Environment’ and ‘Asset Risk’ professionals across Europe. With your department you are supporting the safe development, construction and operation of our projects/ assets globally.
Responsibilities:

Lead the HSSE & Asset Risk team (currently 5 direct reports, ~ 60 colleagues in total) to ensure safe, secure and healthy working conditions and procedures for all colleagues and business partners globally.

Establish and maintain HSSE policies, standards and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Ensure safety and security by design.

Develop and maintain systems and tools to report and analyze HSSE incidents and asset risks.

Execute HSSE programs to drive a global HSSE-oriented culture within RWE Offshore Wind.

Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and contractors on HSSE policies, procedures and regulations.

Assess and actively manage asset risk.

Manage environmental risks and support the delivery of RWE’s sustainability strategy.

Manage physical security of our employees and assets globally.

Represent RWE Offshore Wind on HSSE matters in industry forums and associations e.g. G+.

Head the Central Crisis Management Team for RWE Offshore Wind in case of a crisis.
Profile:
-
University degree in occupational health and safety, renewable energy, engineering or equivalent.

Strong experience in health, safety and environmental management, with at least 5+ years of proven experience working directly on offshore wind projects.

Proven experience in team management and leadership roles.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

Experience with HSE leadership training and behavioural safety techniques.
