Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in Kitimat, British Columbia as an IDR Construction Coordinator! In this role you will report directly to the Construction Completion Lead – ISBL, and will provide construction support to the construction team to streamline, interface and manage interdisciplinary releases among different disciplines and contractors, as well as helping to satisfy the quality & safety requirements on the project.

The primary role of the IDR Construction Coordinator is to act as the focal point for construction interfaces in the construction team; ensuring that construction is complete for the scope in interdisciplinary release; and to ensure that quality requirements are met for streamlined release among all contractors is achieved.

Key Job Duties:
• Verify completion of construction activities in assigned IDR and assist construction with readiness of work area for release to different contractors
• Establish and maintain effective communication among construction, quality, technical services and other contractors to ensure the timely flow of interdisciplinary release review and sign off
• Work closely with the quality team to ensure that quality checks are complete prior to IDR sign-off
• Verify and check the readiness of area for access and indirect support prior to release of area to receiving contractor
• Maintain IDR logs and generate reports as required for construction management

Key Requirements:
• 10-15 years’ experience with progressive and varied experience in construction activities
• Direct working experience on industrial projects with electrical, structural, mechanical, and piping disciplines is required
• Above average computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Strong interpersonal, listening and communications skills, and capacity to build trust among internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-stress and challenging environments
