We are seeking an Indigenous Relations Associate to join our client in Spruce Grove, AB! The successful candidate will foster strong, respectful relationships with Indigenous communities across Canada. This role is perfect for an individual who can lead the Indigenous relations and community engagement efforts, ensuring meaningful collaboration with Indigenous communities, organizations, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide business units on effective Indigenous engagement and relations strategies.

  • Create and implement engagement plans that honor Indigenous values and rights.

  • Develop and execute Indigenous Engagement Plans to enhance business projects.

  • Advise on company policies and practices regarding Indigenous relations.

  • Act as the company representative at community gatherings and career events.

Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience in Indigenous relations or community engagement.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Indigenous cultures, histories, and contemporary issues.

  • Proven ability to foster and sustain relationships with Indigenous communities.

  • Outstanding skills in negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for diverse audiences.
