FUNCTION: INK TECHNICIAN

“TRS has a great international opportunity for an Ink Technician, who is able to mix inks, adhesives, and coatings to match customer specifications to produce a quality material on our Client’s Rotogravure / Flexo Water and UV and Lamination Presses. This role is based in the Fjii Islands.”


JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Job setup for batch ink mixing.
• Create ink room color standards.
• Return, store, and use press returned inks.
• Formulate color matches for customer approval (proofs).
• Ability to color match at press site.
• Mix adhesives and coatings.

QUALIFICATIONS & BENEFITS:
• Accredited High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with effective color matching, color theory, and spectrophotometry.
• Experience with press-side ink and color troubleshooting.
• Proficient mathematical skills and knowledge of metric conversion.
• Ability to accurately see color in required.
• Prior ink, lamination and adhesive handling required.
• Prior analytical result evaluation experience preferred.
• Ability to detect and solve problems that may affect the quality of the product, product aesthetics, or product contamination.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Open to a flexible working schedule.
