TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an Instrumentation & Control Systems Design Lead role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Responsibilities:
 

• Lead and coordinate instrumentation and automation design activities across multiple project phases
• Proactively communicate progress, risks, and constraints to project leadership
• Apply practical field knowledge to enhance design efficiency and installation readiness
• Support development of work plans, estimates, schedules, and resource forecasts
• Review and approve instrumentation and control documentation for constructability and compliance
• Integrate safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements into all design outputs
• Oversee review and resolution of vendor and contractor technical submissions
• Ensure discipline deliverables align with project objectives, budgets, schedules, and quality standards
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and workload coordination for design personnel
• Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:
 

• Technical diploma or equivalent education in Instrumentation, Automation, or Control Systems
• Minimum 15 years of experience
• Prior experience with largescale industrial or process‑based facilities
• Proficiency with engineering design and drafting tools, including 2D and 3D modeling
• Excellent attention to detail
• Previous exposure to construction or field installation activities
• Proven ability to work independently while leading technical teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong understanding of applicable engineering standards, codes, and industry practices
