Interface Engineer

TRS Staffing Solutions are excited to announce an opportunity for an Interface Engineer to work with a Major Oil & Gas Engineering Consultancy.

This is a long term contract role. Which offers some Hybrid working, however the main office is in West London.

The focus around this role is on a Major Pipeline Project in Africa.

The Interface Engineer will bring together team efforts offered by engineering, procurement and construction support and coordinate interfaces between internal and external project teams. Specific interfaces to be managed include interfaces between project personnel, Contractors, third party personnel and the Client.

Responsibilities:
•Assist and support the Project Interface Manager to achieve Contract objectives
•Assist in developing and maintaining the project Interface Management Plan and its supporting tools
•Undertake setting up Interface Management processes
•Support and coordinate the resolution of complex interfaces including expediting and escalation as necessary
•Assist and guide Contractors in setting up their Interface Management Plans, Procedures, Interface Points and associated data to meet project requirements
•Ensure works are undertaken in accordance with Contract engineering and quality requirements, per the agreed plans, procedures and specifications
•Develop and ensure efficient operation of the Engineering & Construction Query system
•Provide interpretation of contractual requirements, designs and other technical documentation to the project team, Client and Contractors
•Oversee interactions and communications between parties that are related to the interfaces and ensure timely closure of open actions
•Contribute to promoting the Quality Policy and Objectives and ensure compliance to project Quality Management
•Participate in Model reviews and Construction reviews
•Work with Contractors during the constructability and readiness phase of the project to provide recommendations and construction principles to be applied in the field
•Participate in Contractor audits

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Piping and Civil engineers who are interested in stepping in the project / interface coordination are preferred.
•Min 5 years-experience in the engineering, procurement, and construction management industry.
•Experience in the oil & gas (pipelines) industry is preferred.
•Proficient in the use of engineering and project management software programs
•Previous experience in Interface Coordination of multi-stakeholder environment and familiarity with concept of interfaces in large scale projects are preferred.
