Position: Senior Contracts Engineer
Location: Turek, Poland
As a Senior Contracts Engineer, you will be a fundamental part of the construction team. You will be responsible for working collaboratively to assist in delivering the project on time, safely and in line with the project plan.
Your role will encompass:
- The role involves drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and maximize commercial benefits throughout the project lifecycle.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts related to CCGT projects, including EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts, PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements), O&M (Operations & Maintenance) agreements, and supplier/vendor contracts.
- In cooperation with legal team, ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements in the energy sector.
- Support PM team on managing contract execution, amendments, and close-out processes.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks to prevent disputes and financial losses.
- Support internal teams in monitoring contract performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, timelines, and deliverables.
- Handle claims, variations, and dispute resolution processes effectively in cooperation with PM team.
- Act as the key point of contact for contractual matters with internal teams,
- Participate in negotiations with contractors, suppliers, and clients supporting PM and procurement/construction teams to secure favourable terms.
- Support commercial and procurement teams in supplier evaluations and selection processes.
- Work closely with project managers and finance teams to track contract budgets, payments, and cost control.
What you bring to the role:
- MSc in Engineering.
- 5+ years of professional experience ideally in the construction/energy sector specifically on EPC or big scale construction projects.
- Working experience with standard contractual documents, such as FIDIC, NEC and MF-1.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with a strategic mindset.
- Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive.
- Excellent command of in English, knowledge of Polish shall be positively evaluated.
