Client is looking for Senior Process Engineer for Lead role
Project Type: Brownfield | EPC | PMC | Petrochemical | Turnaround (TA)
Location: Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia
Requirements/Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering (or equivalent)
- 15+ years of experience
- Strong expertise in process simulation tools (HYSYS, Aspen Plus, etc.).
- Solid understanding of international engineering codes and standards.
- Prior Saudi Arabia project experience is a MUST
- Proven expertise in brownfield projects
- Lead the development of process design deliverables including:
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
- Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Heat and Material Balances (HMB)
- Equipment sizing and specifications
- Control philosophy and safeguarding narratives
- Perform process simulations using industry-standard tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim PRO/II).
- Develop and review equipment datasheets for pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, reactors, vessels, etc.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations, line sizing, and pressure relief system design.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables for pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed engineering stages.
- Support preparation of project schedules, manpower plans, and progress reports.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements.
- Participate in plant studies focusing on debottlenecking, energy optimization, and reliability improvements.
- Support operating facilities with troubleshooting, MOCs, and process performance evaluations.
- Lead HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA and other process safety reviews.
- Ensure designs comply with international and client standards (API, ASME, NFPA, Aramco standards, etc.).
- Support development of cause & effect diagrams and safeguarding logic.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers; review and approve their work.
- Coordinate with multidiscipline teams (mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, civil/structural).
- Interface with clients to clarify scope, resolve technical queries, and secure approvals.
