Client is looking for Piping Designer
Industry: EPC, Petrochemicals
Location: Al-Jubail Saudi Arabia
Requirements/Qualification:
- Minimum 8 years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering mechanical, or related field
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Experience with Middle East projects
- Design experience
Responsibilities:
- Develop piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models per P&IDs and project specs.
- Ensure compliance with codes/standards (ASME/ANSI/API) and client requirements.
- Coordinate routing with process, mechanical, structural, electrical, and instrumentation.
- Perform 3D clash detection and resolve interferences with other disciplines.
- Prepare fabrication isometrics, spool drawings, pipe support details, and MTOs/BOMs.
- Select pipe classes, ratings, valves, and specialty items per service and pressure/temperature.
- Incorporate stress, flexibility, and support requirements (with stress engineers as needed).
- Review and integrate vendor/equipment data (nozzles, tie-ins, access, maintenance clearances).
- Conduct site surveys, collect field dimensions, and support brownfield tie-ins.
- Issue/redline updates and produce As‑Built drawings after construction changes.
- Participate in model/constructability/safety (HAZOP/HAZID) reviews and close actions.
- Maintain drawing quality, version control, and follow document management procedures.
- Track deliverables to schedule, flag risks early, and support RFIs during construction.
- Optimize layouts for safety, accessibility, operability, maintenance, and cost.
- Adhere to CAD/3D modeling standards (layers, naming, tagging) and ensure data integrity.
