Junior Project Manager

For our client, active in providing customized service solutions to Oil & Gas, Industrial and Power Generation customers, we are looking to recruit an Associate Project Manager (secondment with the possibility to become staff).

General:
As the Associate Project Manager you will be part of the service organization looking after industrial turbines and compressors at customer based in West Europe (France, Belgium, Switzerland and the Netherlands). In collaboration with the West Europe team as well as the Global Centers of Competences, you will be responsible for supporting projects from bid to finalization. With the understanding of customer’s needs, you will generate or support in the development of customized proposals for services and coordinate the execution of projects to a successful completion.

The job:
Our client is the only company with the ability to fully integrate products, solutions and services through-out the full value chain of the generation of energy. The Distributed Services team provides customized service solutions to Oil & Gas, Industrial and Power Generation customers. In the West Europe service team they we are looking for an Associate Project Manager who will actively support designated projects creating profitable business and driving customer satisfaction.

• You will support the quotation and execution process for projects
• In the quotation phase:
o Create good understanding of customer’s needs and support the Project Manager in defining the project scope
o Communicate with and support respective factories
o Manage of offerings for local content, if and when necessary
o Generate quotations, including commercial (price, budget) and technical aspects
o Support Sales and Project Management in securing orders
o Ensure CRM records (opportunities) are up-to-date
• In the execution phase:
o Responsible for supporting in executing the projects within the committed timeline and budget, and keeping the organization informed through progress reports
o Maintain good stakeholder relations to ensure the smooth implementation of the assigned service contracts and projects
o Identify and organize the appropriate resources needed for the project implementation, including subcontractors, temporary and permanent SE staff (local and overseas) incl. specialists
o Communicate with and support respective Global Engineering and Manufacturing locations

Requested
• Up to 3 years project management experience
• Bachelor's Degree (or higher), in Mechanical Engineering or combined Business and Engineering
• Knowledge/experience in rotating equipment will be an asset.
• Very good command of English both written & spoken, Dutch is preferred and German and/or French will be an asset.
• Broad commercial and contractual understanding to successfully interact with internal and external stakeholders
• Analytical thinking, decision making, result oriented and good communication skills.
• Flexibility, creativity and open-minded view
• An EU passport (needed for easy/quick business travelling)
