Our client, a leading Canadian EPCM company, is currently recruiting for a Labour Relations Manager to work on a major project in Kitimat, BC. The Labour Relations Manager will be responsible for providing leadership within the organizations and is primarily engaged in management activities that establish a cooperative labour – management culture on the project.
In this very exciting role, the qualified candidate will support the project with performance initiatives for all contractors/employees on site, support the new-hire process, and will oversee/facilitate contractors’ recruitment, retention, training and mentoring processes. Overall the Labour Relations Manager will be expected to implement an Employee Relations audit system to ensure procedures are working as designed and to highlight any issues that may need to be resolved on the project.
- A post-secondary degree in Human Resources is preferred
- 10+ years of Industrial/Labour Relations experience
- Large industrial construction project experience
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching and influencing skills
