TRS is currently working with an international mining owner that supports sustainability and promotes eco-friendly environment who needs unique individuals to bring their talents and contribute to their growing team.

LOGISTICS SPECIALIST (Contract Full-time) - This is an 18-month contract site based opportunity. The Logistics Specialist will serve as the logistics expert for the project team, guiding all logistics-related decisions. This role will manage delivery schedules and oversee the performance of logistics service providers, including any subcontracted specialists such as Heavylift Providers (HLP).

Employment Status: Independent Contractor
Site Location: Northern BC (Chartered flight from flight hub available) 
Rotation Schedule: 2 weeks on/2 weeks off
Working Hours: 12 hour-shift

Qualifications:
  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
  • At least 8 years' experience in setup of logistics function and for executing all logistics activities in heavy industry facilities.
  • 10+ years' experience in providing strategic logistics planning, manage logistics services agreements, and implement initiatives to reduce costs, mitigate risks, and optimize operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in procurement, field material management, and logistics.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
  • Minimum of 2 consecutive years of supervisory experience in logistics or transportation operations.
  • Effective communication skills with various stakeholders, including management, co-workers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Strong attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Proven experience in implementing process improvement models.
