Mechanical Assembly Technician

Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: New Berlin, WI
Industry: Auxiliary parts manufacturer
Status of hire: Direct Hire, Permanent
Compensation: approx. $18-23/hr

TRS Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler who will be responsible for completing mechanical builds or operations to print and sales order, throughout the manufacturing process.

A successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Work from operation sheets and books, blueprints, wire lists, shop travelers, rework and repair directives, computer generated and other written and verbal instructions
• Generate, maintain, and follow materials pulls and assembly floor schedules. Move material and paperwork through to finish stores and maintain status records
• Contribute to a positive work environment
• May require lifting and use of overhead hoist assembly
• Keep equipment and surroundings neat and clean
• Reading and understanding simple drawings, arithmetic involving decimals and fractions and the use of measuring instruments for calculating and recording. Ability to read electrical schematics and wire a plus.
A qualified candidate will be pro-active, dedicated, and possess these basic requirements:
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 1 + years of experience working in manufacturing assembly
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude
• Ability to follow documented procedures and processes
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Forklift experience (stand-up and sit-down) a plus
• Strong communication skills
