Mechanical Engineer (Static Equipment)

Function: Mechanical Engineer Static Equipment
Location: Bergen op Zoom / Moerdijk
Duration: 12 months +


We currently seek a high caliber Mechanical Engineer / Static Equipment Engineer to work on a contract basis for 12 months +, after which a staff position is a possibility. Based in Bergen op Zoom/Moerdijk, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement & construction companies to the Oil, Gas & Petrochemical sector.

Job description
Specification of mechanical Static equipment in accordance with client requirements, authority regulations etc. responsible for the complete cycle of equipment specification, supplier selection, purchase of equipment, supplier drawing review, equipment acceptance and delivery to site, site (erection) support and turn-over. Responsible as originating engineer for quality, cost and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and organizing the work
• Writing and reviewing mechanical specifications
• Procurement of mechanical static equipment (heat exchangers, pressure vessels, tanks)
• Management of suppliers (quality, cost, schedule)
• Maintaining schedules and equipment estimates
• Cooperating with client, third parties and project disciplines/field

Proven Experience
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering and design experience, specifically static equipment

Requirements:
• Minimum BSc in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent English language skills
• Knowledge of Dutch could be a Preference
