Millwright Foreman
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Read and interpret EI packages, drawings, prints to adequately direct the installation of work assigned.
• Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory setting
• Review, plan and prioritize work assignments which include but are not limited to:
o Assemble/Disassemble and install machines, conveyors, pumps and compressor then assist in testing them to make sure they are working correctly.
o Assemble, install and perform maintenance on equipment such as Agitators, Conveyors, Pumps, Compressors
o Align, level, track and plumb machines, conveyors, pumps, and equipment
o Assemble machines using various methods as bolting, welding, rivets or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
o Identify and repair problematic parts of a machine. Make temporary repairs or installing new parts.
o Lubricate machines, agitators, pumps and equipment
o Repair industrial warehouse storage racking systems
• Plan work 2 weeks ahead and ensure that materials, tools and equipment are located and available to perform work assigned
• Plan sequence of work to minimize downtime, avoid obstructions, and other construction or operation activities.
• Plan efficient use of personnel, material and equipment by practicing crew balancing, assigning work with capabilities of crew members in mind. Ensure that personnel under your direction are capable of safely and efficiently performing assignments given to them.
• Lead and direct personnel on a day-to-day basis in a safe, quality and efficient oriented manner.
• Provide necessary instructions to craft personnel in a way that they fully understand and comprehend:
o Task assignment
o Safety process and procedures required
o Quality expectations and deliverables
o Time sensitive schedule expectations
• Ensure materials are consistent with plans/specifications and appear to be consistent with existing or prior installations.
• Monitor all work installed for proper quality and conformance to drawings and site specifications.
• Walk down and Yellow / Red Line drawings
• Assist in assembling turnover packages
• Assist General Foreman and Planner by providing input to support job schedules, estimates, plans and constructability savings.
• Observe, abide by and enforce all safety regulations
• Conduct weekly gang box safety meetings for your crew.
• Complete daily timecards, tracking effort hours expended on each assignment
• Maintain clean orderly work areas
• Discipline or recommend disciplinary measures for any person assigned to your crew that does not observe or follow Company / Site requirements.

Preferred Experience
• 10+ Years as Millwright in a Commercial / Industrial process manufacturing environment
• 5+ Years as a Millwright/Mechanical Foreman performing similar job duties listed above

Basic Job Qualification Requirements:
• Well-rounded knowledge of Millwright duties job skills such as but not limited to: Basic rigging, Detail layout, Oxyfuel cutting operations, Fabricate and install gaskets, Proper selection of fasteners, Fabricate shims, Make field sketches, Basic lubrication, Fabricate items from field sketches, Remove and install couplings, Establish equipment and machinery center lines and elevations, Conventional alignment, Perform reverse alignment, Pre-alignment for drilling and tapping, Set baseplates and soleplates, Repair and replace packing, Service mechanical seals, Install and replace bearing and bushing, Advanced construction drawing & blueprint reading, Install fans and blowers
• Able to work minimum 40+ plus hours per week
• Self-motivated individual with a cooperative attitude a must
• Ability to work with minimum or direct supervision
• Possess basic math skills
• Read and interpret all standard construction documents, Blueprints, specifications, procedures, and standards
• Follow oral and written directions, plans, and schedules
• Draft field and schematic drawings
• Follow and enforce all health, safety & environmental requirements
• Plan/schedule & communicate work requirements
• Oversee quality control and crew productivity
• Record daily/weekly crew work hours
• Address job related crew issues
• Motivate crew members by developing pride in crew and self

Physical Requirements
• Work up to 12hr+ Shifts for a 40hr+ week
• Work at elevated heights using Ladders, Scaffolding, Aerial Lifts
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs throughout the shift
• Able to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
• Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the basic and essential functions as identified above
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Must be able to work wearing Hardhat, Safety glasses, Safety/Steel toe boots, High visibility vest and Fall arrest harness equipment
• Abel to work inside or outside with various temperature and weather conditions where noise levels are at or above 85 decibels with hearing protection

• EDUCATION:
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
