Offshore Cables Lead

TRS Staffing have a fantastic opportunity for an Offshore Cables Lead for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer.

The role will see you be responsible for, in collaboration with the wider package teams, the development of the cable design, procurement, transport and installation for both the export and array cables.

Experience
• Management and coordination of array and export cable supply and T&I engineering development.
• Manage and coordinate the development of the array and export cable supply and T&I Employer Requirements, ITT documents and contract documents.
• Support main contract tender process with Tier 1 Cable Supply and T&I Contractors.
• Review information which is transmitted from Cable supply and T&I Contractors to confirm its completeness and correctness.
• Negotiate and recommend offshore installation contracts.
• Manage and coordinate offshore installation contracts and activities.
• Lead the development of an optimised marine logistics and installation plan for the construction stage of the project.
• Development of internal marine assurance procedures.
• Management of Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) for cable related activities.
• Support the management of the interfaces between the project, its designers, its manufacturers, and its T&I contractors.
• Develop and co-ordinate the installation and load-out planning with the selected contractors
• Manage and coordinate timely delivery and QA/QC during cable manufacturing phase
• Manage and coordinate contractor cable loadout process, including MWS interface

Your profile
• Engineer with a bachelor degree level or similar, with relevant work experience, or in lieu of a degree significant period(s) of relevant work experience across the breadth of the competencies required for this role
• Several years of experience in offshore wind, oil and gas, or grid transmission systems in a similar role with several years’ experience, knowledge and competence in offshore cable engineering, supply, manufacture, loadout and serial installation activities
• Project management level experience preferable: PMP certified or equivalent
