Senior Planning Engineer (Oil & Gas) - London
My client, a major EPC, are recruiting for professional for a Senior Planning Engineer (Oil and Gas) to take the lead for planning and progress functions on major, complex, global FEED and EPC/EPCm projects, based at their Park Royal Headquarters.
This is an excellent opportunity and salary is dependant on the individual and experience.
The Senior Planning Engineer will have a proven career in planning and scheduling in all project phases, including construction, primarily within the onshore Oil and Gas business sector. As a confident leader and technical expert, the Senior Planning Engineer will play a key part in our Project Controls department with potential future progression into executive technical opportunities.
As the Senior Planning Engineer, you will have knowledge and/or experience of the following:
Leading and directing the project planning/scheduling team
The set up, implementation, maintenance and updating of the project schedules from Management Level to detailed Level 3/4
Establishing and managing project planning sessions and risk analysis workshops
Providing regular analysis and written explanation of schedule variances
Providing accurate and timely “what if” schedule scenarios as required by project management
Set up, implementation and maintenance of the project progress and performance system
Actively identifying and initiating project schedule deviations and providing schedule analysis and impact for all project deviations.
As the Senior Planning Engineer, you must have strong experience of:
Primavera P6 Scheduling and risk analysis skills.
EPC/EPCm project execution and discipline activity sequencing
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Proven leadership capability
Ideally degree educated or equivalent
