Our partner is seeking a Primavera P6 Capital Projects Scheduler to join their team on a long term contract basis. Our client is proud to design and build projects and careers. SUMMARY:
The Scheduler will work closely with the Engineering Manager to develop detailed capital project and portfolio schedules. The scheduler will work closely with other disciplines and project managers and engineers, subject matter experts (SME’s), inspection, operations and maintenance teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work directly with Project Management Team to:
o Review projects on worklist and develop a complete FEED/EPFC resource loaded schedule
o Develop work tasks / activities with engineering and construction management teams
o Gain understanding of target project schedule duration
o Identify key milestones and critical path activities
o Adjust schedule based on approved changes
o Obtain approval of final schedule from Project Management Team
o Run progress and variance reports

During project execution, conducts the following:
o Meet regularly with execution resources to update overall schedule
o Generate reports; look-ahead milestone and critical path schedules
o Analyze overall work progress impact on schedule
o Analyze any approved added work/scope on overall schedule
o Monitor progress on milestones and critical path compliance
o Report schedule progress and impacts to Project Management Team
o Contribute to weekly and monthly project forecasting
o Communicate with cost engineering any schedule deviations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Five (5) or more years of Primavera scheduling experience
• Five (5) or more years of oil refining or chemical experience and Capital Project Development Experience
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple capital projects and creating construction resource graphs.
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Energetic, self-starter that works well and interacts well within a team environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office computer applications; Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
• Experience with converting MS Project schedules to P6.
