"Our client is looking for your expertise as a SHIPYARD PAINTING SUPERVISOR with relevant experience in the Ferry / RoRo and/or Passenger Vessel newbuilding supervision for their survey for a new Shipyard building project of 2* 75 PAX Ferry (Double End Vessels) in a Shipyard based in TURKEY.”

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This is supervisory work in the preparation, application, and maintenance of marine paint coating systems used to preserve steel ferries, dredges, barges, and work boats.
• Employee inspects vessels for rusted areas, determines coating necessary, and directs employees in surface preparation and application of the coating.
• Inspects hull, superstructure, and all coated surfaces of steel vessels and determines areas which need re-coating.
• Determines needed surface preparation and type and number of paint coats.
• Directs employees in the sand washing, sandblasting, and painting of steel vessels.
• Reviews the work of subordinate painters and sandblasters.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma qualification in relevant field of study.
• A minimum of Ten (10) years’ relevant experience in the Ferry / RoRo and/or Passenger Vessel Newbuilding supervision in Shipyard.
