Our client, a leading EPCM with projects worldwide, is currently recruiting for a Permit to Work Issuer to join their team in Kitimat, BC. This candidate will be responsible for coordination with the Construction, HSSE, Field engineering and Environmental teams to ensure all controls for Life Critical Tasks are implemented.
In this very exciting role, the qualified individual will support the project by reviewing submitted permit to work documents and packages to make sure work is safe to begin. Some duties include coordinating with Contractors to assure that conents of the permit is complete, confirming scope is covered by the permit, and coordinating with the Field engineering team to verify all technical aspects of the permit.
Job duties:
- Coordinate with the HSSE manager to verify all aspects of permit are in compliance
- Coordinate with Field Engineering, Technical Services team and LOTO Authorities as required
- Installing and removing LOTO isolations as required
- Coordinate with Environmental Coordinator to verify all environmental aspects of permit
- Coordinate with field supervision and contractors to obtain sign off of permit
Qualifications:
- Power Engineer certification is preferred
- Strong construction to commissioning and start-up experience. Understanding transferring of care, custody and control
- Strong understanding of Control of Hazardous energy procedurres and boundary permit systems
- Thorough understanding of Oil/Gas Safety training such as Confined Space Entry, and OSSA Permits
- Must be proficient in Excel and Adobe Professional
