Duties include:
- Support Inspection & Commissioning Activities: Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning tasks, ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements, while identifying and resolving non-conformances.
- Quality Assurance & Documentation: Implement and improve the Project Quality Plan, manage inspection and test plans (ITPs), issue RFIs, and maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
- Site Inspections & Material Verification: Conduct inspections on excavation, foundation preparation, concrete operations, structural steel works, and finishing works, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
- Testing & Laboratory Oversight: Oversee material testing processes including slump tests, compressive strength tests, and chemical analyses, and review lab results for compliance.
- Audit & Compliance Monitoring: Perform audits at batching plants, laboratories, and subcontractor sites to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Client & Contractor Coordination: Liaise with clients, construction teams, and subcontractors to address quality issues, expedite resolutions, and support project objectives.
- Final Walkdowns & Punch List Management: Participate in final inspections, document punch items, and monitor their resolution to ensure project readiness
- Experience of working on major civil / structural works projects.
- Previous experience of 5+ years on civil / structural inspection activities.
- Relevant experience in all ground works, concrete testing and conformity using laboratory works in earthworks, reviewing material results and (lab tests of filling materials, proctor tests, concrete cubes strength testing, slump tests etc).
- Civil engineering degree such as HNDC
- University Degree education level preferable or 7 years + civil roads and building experience
- Full understanding of nationally/internationally recognized standards or codes of practice: EN, BS, ASTM BS8500, EN 206, BS 5950, Main road specifications.
