Pipe Fitter

Role The construction Pipe Fitter Lead is responsible for working with the PPG group on the execution of the pipefitting components of offshore and subsea projects, completing the as built drawings and pipefitting project close out documentation and ensuring that all carried out in a safe and efficient manner. Reports to Construction Lead on Site and Supervises Onsite Pipe Fitting Crew.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities • The construction Pipe Fitter has the following responsibilities and/or is expected to complete the following tasks:
• Leader in Safety within Group- Communicate and participate in client’s Safety Guidelines and Programs, STOP Program, SWP, LSAs, perform observations & audits
• Assist in verifications for routes and Field verification of ISO’s
• Prepares material for assembly- assembles per guidelines SWP/ GP’s / Specifications
• Installs materials / equipment per the IFC Drawings—Understands Quality and its role in projects
• Assist in verification of Materials onsite and per IFC drawings- fab spools are built to ISO’s
• Ensures LO/TO in place prior to commencing activities associated with BF Connections
• Assist in setting up for Hydro testing activities
• Follows the site plans and procedures that are approved including safety, emergency response, lift plans, SIMOPS, communications, clear handovers
• Actively participation in development of the JSA’s
• Provides information for lessons learned
• Follows safe work practices during construction activities


Qualifications High school graduate and minimum of 5 years I&E Lead position
Fluent English language written and spoken
Experience in construction-specific and/or project execution 10 years+
BOSIET
Valid Offshore Medical


Knowledge and Skills The construction pipe fitter lead should be competent in the following areas:
• Overall construction experience in oil and gas production and handling facilities 5 years +
• Project/construction experience in various remote locations, West Africa,
• FPSO, FPU, Production Platforms, Onshore Support Facilities- preferred
• Brownfield retrofit project experience 2 years +
• Proficient in Offshore construction activities associated with piping, structural, along with fabrication, installation and commissioning experience 5 years +
• Estimating and scheduling experience - preferred
• Experience with Excel, Word, MS Project- preferred
• Fluent written and spoken English

Work Environment • Works outdoors in moderate conditions which include dirt, heat, grease, fumes, noise and vibration (90%) of work time.
• Normally works day shift but subject to call out.
• Job Location on Offshore FPU, FPSO, Fixed Platform—Limited access to external communications
• Rotational assignment (28/28). Housing provided on or offshore with secure environment.
