Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare moderately complex 2D CAD drawings.
  • Review basic vendor equipment documents from within the discipline and other disciplines to verify compliance with project requirements and identify discrepancies.
  • Follow applicable industry codes, standards, department procedures, and design practices.

Job Requirements
  • Two‑year technical degree or equivalent combination of education and four years of related experience.
  • Able to communicate clearly with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
  • Possesses the technical knowledge required to perform job responsibilities.
  • Able to learn and apply relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
  • Familiar with material availability and costs.
  • Practical field experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and presentation software.

Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience with S3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, NWS, SPR, and Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in developing 3D layouts.
  • Ability to oversee creation and checking of piping drawings, including plot plans, piping plans, isometrics, and sketches.
  • Experience supervising updates to P&IDs and maintaining master P&ID and pipeline lists.
  • Ability to support and guide piping design teams, construction crews, and pipe fabrication personnel.
  • Advanced knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD systems, including Hexagon Smart 3D.
  • Capable of reviewing 3D models and design content in Smart 3D or similar software.
