Piping Lead Engineer

For a client in Limburg region, who turn concepts into realities, blueprints into assets and ideas into energy, we are seeking for a Piping Lead Engineer.

As a Piping Lead Engineer you’re capable of handling multiple small sized brownfields projects simultaneously. A talented Lead Piping Engineers with experience in leading medium and large scale projects in the downstream refinery, chemical/petrochemical and green energy markets. Candidates who show superior leadership skills in a complex multi-office environment with an ability to provide innovative solutions to clients is our objective. FEED and EPC & EPCm experience are both desirable.

The role of Piping Lead Engineer is a key Leadership role, being responsible for the day to day supervision and coordination of Piping Engineering and Design team assigned to a project.
The Lead Piping Engineer reports functionally to the Department Manager and operationally to one or more Engineering or Project Managers. Input and leadership will be delivered in the conceptual design, project specifications, FEED, basic engineering, extended basic and detailed design phases.
We expect candidates will have had a strong technical background in an engineering contracting environment. The understanding of the technical requirements of the project and directing others to apply this into the project is crucial.

Experience qualifications:
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in the (Petro-) chemical industry
• Familiar with multi office project execution (Workshare)
• Familiar with Lead tasks
• Experience with Brownfield / Revamp projects
• Knowledge of Dutch and International rules and regulations
• English: Fluent in writing and speech
• Tools: ACAD, Navisworks (E3D experience is a pre)
• Good presentation skills
• In the possession of driver’s license
• Valid VCA certificate (VCA-VOL)
