Here is an exciting opportunity in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a Pre-Commissioning Instrument & Controls Coordinator! You would be at work within a growing EPCM/construction firm with projects worldwide and joining a team of talented professionals. This opportunity boasts longevity, a great work-life balance rotation of 14/7, and excellent accommodations. In this very exciting role, the qualified individual will report to the Pre-Commissioning Lead. The qualified individual will be responsible for the planning and oversight of all Instrumentation and Controls pre-commissioning activities for the facility.
Job duties:
- Evaluate pre-commissioning deliverables at module / assembly yards (inspection, quality checks, etc.)
- Define Site I&C pre-commissioning scope with regards to module fabrication yards, construction, and commissioning
- Develop detailed plans, procedures and instructions at the early stages of the project, and manage the process through to implementation
- Scope definition, evaluation, selection, contract development and management of I&C contractors utilized for executing completions activities and in support of pre-commissioning activities
- Establish detailed execution strategies/plans for Unit Pre-Commissioning:
a. Instrument pre-commissioning program including point to point checks, simple loop checks, etc
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering, Engineering Tech, or appropriate trades certificate a must
- Must be open to work at a remote camp at the LNGC site near Kitimat, British Columbia
- 15+ years of proven leadership experience in pre-commissioning/commissioning of large process facilities
- Functional knowledge of all areas of plant/facility preservation, pre-commissioning, turnover, commissioning, operations and/or maintenance technology.
- Effective management of large volumes of data and documentation.
